A final teaser has been released for the new Jaguar C-X17 concept ahead of its reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show early next week.
Not much information was given about what to expect from the C-X17 concept aside from the reveal date of September 9th. What we know unofficially, however, is a different matter.
Speculation points to the C-X17 being Jaguar’s first foray into the ever expanding world of premium crossovers. The new Jag is described as the “innovative future of the Jaguar brand,” which we assume means a crossover, if not a full fledged SUV.
And as far as the images goes, it appears to confirm the previous rumors suggesting a five-door crossover. The C-X17 will use Jaguar’s new Premium Lightweight Architecture. What that means in English, is that it will use an aluminum frame and body panels. The PLA chassis is expected to be used on a new entry-level sedan and crossover, as well.
We will bring you full details of the Jaguar C-X17 when it is revealed on September 9th. As always, full press release below. You can the teaser in full resolution right here.
